Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteering to help the city, state or nation become a better place to live  may be easier and less time-consuming than you think. There are volunteer opportunities all around us and not just for political campaigns. The Troy Democratic Club recognizes and supports all efforts to make a difference.

Review the ideas below and decide which works best for you!

Make Your Case Face-to-Face

Canvass for a Candidate

Walk door-to-door, meeting neighbors and providing campaign literature. You'll get a list of Dem-leaning voters and a lot of training. A great way to get your steps in.

Gather Petition Signatures

Nearly every candidate or cause that wants to be on the ballot must first gather petitions. You'll receive extensive training on what is allowed in the process. And the satisfaction of knowing that you helped bring progressive ideas to fruition.

Run for Precinct Delegate

Represent your city precinct in an elected capacity. Help neighbors understand issues, work on candidate's campaigns, vote on the Democratic Party platform. Troy and Clawson have many unopposed seats open.

Voice Your Support... Or Opposition

Volunteer for a Phone Bank

Talking to voters on the phone is very rewarding. You may be reminding them to vote, making a case for a candidate or cause, or simply answering questions.
